Flames sign Dube to entry-level deal

Kelowna Rockets forward Dillon Dube has been signed to an entry level contract by the Calgary Flames.

The 19-year-old was taken by Calgary 56th overall, in the second round of last June's entry draft.

Dube is one of the remaining members of the Rockets' team that won the WHL championship two years ago, and played on Team Canada's silver-medal winning squad at the World Juniors this year.

He's also been nearly a point-per-game player for the Rockets, with 148 points in 150 regular season games.

This season, he scored 55 points in 40 games, after missing the first half of the season with an injury.

Dube is from the town of Cochrane, Alberta, which is about 40 km from the Saddledome in Calgary.
