Foote, Lind projected as first-round NHL picks

NHL Central Scouting has released its final rankings for the 2017 NHL Draft, and it features a couple of Kelowna Rockets.

Defenceman Cal Foote has been ranked 12th overall, while teammate and Rockets leading scorer Kole Lind was ranked 23rd.

Compared to a couple of months ago, it's a pretty similar spot for the teammates to be in, as they were ranked 12th and 21st in Central Scouting's midterm rankings.

The Rockets' current playoff opponents also saw strong representation on the list.

Portland forward Cody Glass is ranked sixth overall, while defenceman Henri Jokiharju (Henry Yolk-ee-har-you) is at number 19.

Other Winterhawks include Brendan De Jong (Yong), Ryan Hughes, and Skyler McKenzie.

The NHL Draft is on June 23 and 24th in Chicago, where scouts predict Nolan Patrick from the Brandon Wheat Kings will be taken first overall.
