Goalie ready to make impact

It's a dream come true.

That's how newly acquired goaltender Cole Schwebius looks a trade two weeks ago to his hometown Kelowna Rockets.

"Ever since I was little, going to Kelowna Rockets games, it is something I wanted to do, maybe wanted to be a part of. Now to do that, especially with the Memorial Cup, to have a chance to come and play here, maybe, is pretty exciting."

Schwebius was traded by the Seattle Thunderbirds along with teammates Dillon Hamaliuk and Jake Lee.

The 18 year-old will challenge for the starting job with Roman Basran and James Porter.

"It is cool to be playing with Roman. Even before our midget year (Okanagan Rockets) we had done a couple of camps together for BC Hockey, so we are familar with one another. We get along pretty good, so I am looking forward to seeing him again", Schwebius added.
