Jost won't play in WHL
A source close to the Tyson Jost situation says the 19 year-old has no intention of playing with the Regina Pats next season.
The Pats are hoping the Colorado Avalanche first round selection will join them for the 2017-2018 season when they play host to the 100th Master Card Memorial Cup next May.
AM 1150 has been told Jost, who the Pats acquired in a trade with the Everett Silvertips last July, wouldn't have left the University of North Dakota if the Pats were an option.
Jost, who played his midget hockey with the Okanagan Rockets, will have every opportunity to play in the NHL next season with the Avalanche.
If he needs more time to develop, Jost will play with the Avalanche's American Hockey League affiliate with the San Antonio Rampage.
The source says going back to junior hockey would do nothing for his development.
