Kelowna hockey player retires

After 7 seasons in Europe, most recently in Germany, Kelowna's Dustin Sylvester is retiring.

The 30 year-old also played five seasons with the Kootenay Ice where he was named a second team all-star in 2010.

Sylvester would score a career high 35 goals and 93 points that season as a 20 year-old.

Not bad for a second round bantam pick, chosen 33rd overal by the Ice in 2004.

Dustin's younger brother, Cody, just signed a new deal to play in Germany this season.
