NHL 1st round pick headed to Penticton?

The Penticton Vees have yet to make it official, but it appears first round NHL draft pick Jay O'Brien will join them in 2019-2020.

O'Brien is leaving Providence College to play with one of the winningest franchises in the BC Hockey League.

O'Brien was selected by the Philadephia Flyers with the 19th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft.

The Vees had Tyson Jost (10th by Colorado) and Dante Fabbro (17th by Nashville) selected in the first round of the NHL draft in 2016.
