Palin retires

Brett Palin has decided to retire.

The 34 year-old former captain of the Kelowna Rockets has called it career after 13 seasons of pro hockey.

Palin, who now makes Kelowna is off-season home, played last year in the Austrian Hockey League.

He hopes to enter a new career in the not-so-distance future as a firefighter.

Palin played in 324 career regular season games with the Rockets between 2000 and 2005.
