Sun head coach wants to return

The head coach of the Okanagan Sun has had three days to digest a season ending loss to the Langley Rams.

Ben Macauley admits his team didn't show their 'true colours' in a 39-7 loss in Sunday's BCFC final.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Macauley says the Sun will again challenge for a league title in 2019.

"A lot of these guys have the opportunity to come back. They will have a pretty good shot at being in that title game again and take a shot back at Langley or whoever it might be".

The Sun must now decide if Macauley will return as head coach next season.

The 32 year-old's three year contract has come to an end.

"I would like to be back if it fits. I have put a lot of my life over the last three years into this program and would like to get it to the point of where we thought it should be by competing and winning a national championship", Macauley added.

The Sun executive are expected to make a decision on Macauley's future by mid November.
