Truitt parts ways with Rebels

A former head coach of the Kelowna Rockets is looking for work.

Jeff Truitt has parted ways with the Western Hockey League's Red Deer Rebels.

Truitt has spent the last 6 seasons as an associate coach with the Rebels under general manager and head coach Brent Sutter.

In a news release Sutter stated, "I’d like to thank Jeff for his time and effort that he put in to be part of our coaching staff for the last six seasons.  I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Truitt was an assistant coach with the Kelowna Rockets when they won the Memorial Cup in 2004 and was the head coach when they won the WHL title in 2005. 

Truitt also has past managerial experience with the Moose Jaw Warriors.
