Vees pick up former NHL star's son

The Penticton Vees have added yet another player who's father once played in the NHL.

Danny Weight will join the Vees in September after playing in the USHL

Danny is the son of Doug Weight, who played over 12 hundred games in the NHL, winning a Stanley Cup with Carolina in 2006.

Lukas and Owen Sillinger (Mike Sillinger), Taylor Ward ( Dixon Ward), Jackson Niedermayer (Scott Niedermayer), Jackson Keane (Mike Keane) and Ty Amonte (Tony Amonte) are just recent examples of sons of former NHL players that have played junior hockey in Penticton.
