3 Contracts Totalling $86M Awarded For Gordie Howe Int'l Bridge

More contracts have been awarded for work being done on the Gordie Howe International Bridge.

The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority has announced it has awarded three contracts totally $86-million for high voltage cabling and accessories, transmission and distribution line relocation.

The work is part of phase two of the preparatory activities at the Canadian Port of Entry.

Prysmian Cables and Systems Canada Limited along with Valard Construction LP and AMS (a joint partnership between Amico Infrastructures Inc. and Mid-South Contractors Limited) have been awarded the contracts.

The authority says "undertaking this work at this time will ensure the Canadian POE site will be ready for the private-sector partner chosen to build the Gordie Howe International Bridge project."
