Alberta Man Charged with Impaired Driving in 401 Crash

An Alberta man has been charged with impaired driving following a rollover crash on the 401 in Chatham-Kent.

Around 2:45 a.m. Monday, a westbound vehicle on the 401 near Bloomfield Rd left the roadway entered the median, rolled over and came to rest in the eastbound lanes.

Police arrived and found the driver showing signs of impairment.  He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A 48-year-old Alberta man is charged with impaired driving by alcohol or drug and operating a vehicle while impaired.

The eastbound lanes were closed for about three hours but have since re-opened.
