Alleged Drunk Driver Nabbed in Kingsville


A 47-year-old truck driver from Simcoe is in hot water.

Provincial police in Kingsville says they received a call on Tuesday from an alert motorist, reporting a tractor trailer was being driven erratically on County Rd. 23.

According to police, the motorist followed the truck and told officers the driver stopped on County Road 29 where the caller witnessed the driver showing signs of impairment.

Cornelius Wall is charged with impaired driving by alcohol or drug and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

Police say his truck was loaded with steel and was being driven at various speeds and he was reportedly failing to stay within his lane.

The truck was towed and Wall's driver's licence has been suspended.
