Arson Charge Laid In Arthur Rd. Garage Fire


A charge of arson has been laid in a $100,000 fire on Arthur Rd. that sent one person to hospital.

Firefighters were called to the home early Monday morning and found  a garage in flames and a person nearby with second and third degree burns to 35% of his body.

Gavin Blok-Kavanaugh, 18, of Windsor faces a charge of arson.

A 20-year-old male with extensive burn injuries to his exposed arms and legs.

The Windsor police Arson unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal are continuing their investigations.
