Assumption Church Re-Opening For Anniversary Celebrations
The historic Assumption Church in west Windsor is re-opening for two days this month as part of the celebrations to mark the 250th anniversary of the Our Lady of Assumption Parish.
On Sunday, August 13, there will be an outdoor mass on the grounds of the church at 11am, followed by a BBQ. The doors of the church will open to the public from 12pm to 5pm.
The Our Lady of the Assumption feast day is on Tuesday, August 15, and doors will open to the public from 9am to 6pm.
The 170-year-old church closed in 2014 due to expensive repairs that are needed.
The fundraising campaign is currently on hiatus but there is still hope the parish will be able to use the church again.
