Two first-inning runs proved to be the difference for the Orioles as they nipped the Blue Jays 2-1 in Toronto.
Kevin Gausman fired seven innings of one-run ball to earn the win for Baltimore. Adam Jones clubbed an RBI double before Trey Mancini brought him home with a triple as the O's ended a six-game slide.
Marcus Stroman gave up two unearned runs over six frames to take the tough-luck loss for Toronto. Richard Urena had an RBI double in the third to provide the offense for the Blue Jays, who had won their previous four games.
The Blue Jays open a four-game against the Twins in Minnesota tonight. Lefty Brett Anderson is expected to start for Toronto.
