Blood Drive To Be Held Easter Weekend To Honour Mason Bacon-Macri

A blood drive is being held in Windsor to remember a four year old Lakeshore boy who died of cancer.

The Canadian Blood Services and the 'Fight Like Mason Foundation' are encouraging people to donate the gift of life this Easter weekend.

Mason Bacon-Macri passed away on June 27, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

His parents, Chantelle and Iain Bacon say Mason needed several blood transfusions through chemotherapy, multiple radical surgeries and proton therapy.

They say it helped save Mason's life multiple times and allowed him to have good days in the hardest of times.

A special blood drive is taking place this Friday and Saturday from 8am-noon at 3909 Grand Marais Rd East.
