Blue Jays Blast Tigers 8-2

Teoscar Hernandez had two homers and five RBI to lead the barrage as the Blue Jays topped the Tigers 8-2 in Toronto.  Hernandez had a two-run bomb in the fourth and a three-run shot in the fifth to blow the game open.

J.A. Happ tossed six frames of two-run ball to earn the win and Luis Santos notched the three-inning save.  At 66-and-77, the Jays are five-and-a-half games out of the final A.L. wild card spot.  Detroit starter Anibal Sanchez surrendered seven runs on 12 hits over four-and-two-thirds to take the loss.

Ian Kinsler homered to prevent the shutout.  The Tigers fell to 60-and-82.
