Braves Tame Tigers

The Atlanta Braves strung together three hits and two walks for four runs in the eighth to put away the Detroit Tigers 7-4.

Julio Teheran threw five shutout innings, but didn't factor in the decision.

Touki Toussaint moved to 3-and-0 after pitching just a third of an inning, as the Braves have won two-straight.

Grayson Greiner, JaCoby Jones and Christin Stewart all homered for the Tigers.

Starter Matthew Boyd gave up three runs in five frames but did not factor in the decision.  Joe Jimenez took the loss.

The Tigers are off Monday, but they begin a three-game MLB series with the Rays Tuesday night at Comerica Park.

Ryan Carpenter is slated to oppose Tampa Bay's Blake Snell.  The Tigers are 22-and-34, 17 games out of first place in the AL Central.
