Case Dismissed In Trial Against Alleged Leamington Shooter
Case dismissed against a Leamington man in an alleged shooting in uptown Leamington.
The trial, beginning with jury selection, was scheduled to begin Monday for 36-year-old Brandon Gibbs but the complainant could not be located so there wasn't a case to prosecute.
Gibbs was charged with four counts including pointing a firearm and aggravated assault following an incident in September 2014 after a man was shot in the face and body several times with a pellet gun.
The OPP and Essex County K9 unit were called in to search for the suspect who had taken off.
Area schools were also put in Hold and Secure.
