Changes Made To Stop Drivers From Parking In Roundabouts
Believe it or not, people are parking in the roundabouts in LaSalle.
The town already had a bylaw prohibiting people from parking within 50 feet of intersections and that's been extended to 75 feet for roundabouts. The change also includes not parking within the roundabout.
Manager of Roads and Parks, Mark Beggs says parking inside a roundabout is dangerous. "We have had cars parking on middle apron of the roundabouts and it makes so that if a big truck had to come through, they wouldn't be able to get around."
There are three roundabouts in LaSalle.
