Child Killer Transferred To Medium Security Facility
The father of a murdered Woodstock girl is outraged.
Rodney Stafford is calling for an immediate overhaul of Corrections Services Canada after he learned that Michael Rafferty, the man who abducted, sexually assaulted and killed his eight-year-old daughter Tori Stafford, has been moved from a maximum-security prison to a medium-security facility back in March.
Stafford posted on Facebook that "not one, but both people responsible for stealing the life of Victoria have been working their way to luxury."
Stafford told AM800's The TKO Show, he's only calling for Corrections Canada to do one thing.
"Correct their errors," he says. "Clearly they have made two errors, one with both child killers involved in my daughter's murder. Put them back where they belong, let them rot where they deserve to be in a cell, not walking freely around in an open-concept living."
On April 8th, 2009, Tori Stafford was abducted as she walked home from school by Rafferty's accomplice Terri-Lynne McClintic who was also found guilty of first-degree murder.
McClintic had also been transferred to an Indigenous healing lodge but a public outcry resulted in her transfer back to prison.
Rodney Stafford says he only learned of Rafferty's transfer after he made a request.
