Conciliator Called In For Labour Talks At Freedom Mobile

Negotiations for a first collective agreement between the United Steelworkers and Freedom Mobile in Windsor have entered into conciliation.

A conciliator has set up meetings this week between the company and union to try to reach a settlement.

The 185 customer care employees at Freedom Mobile's Windsor call centre joined the union in January and bargaining began in late March.

Freedom Mobile, previously known as Wind Mobile, was bought in 2015 by Shaw Communications for $1.6-billion.
