Corn Fest Weekend Is Here

A popular summer festival kicks off Thursday afternoon.

The 42nd annual Tecumseh Corn Festival begins at 3pm at Lacasse Park.

The four day event features rides and games, live entertainment, a beer tent and a parade.

Corn Fest committee member Joe Bachetti says there will be plenty of corn on site courtesy of Bonduelle.

"They're looking at providing corn that's locally grown here in the province of Ontario close to 20 tons so that's the number we kind of always estimate."

The event also includes a corn maze, a corn eating contest and a classic car show.
