Deal Reached Between County and 48 Of Its Workers
A tentative deal has been reached with workers at the County of Essex.
In a release, a county spokesperson says "after several hours of mediated discussions, talks between the County of Essex and CUPE 2974.1, representing 48 full-time and part-time County of Essex and EWSWA inside/outside staff, have resulted with a tentative agreement being reached."
Details of the agreement will be released, pending ratification by both CUPE and Essex County Council.
A strike/lockout date has been set for November 4, 2016.
