Driver Arrested For Allegedly Having Four Times The Legal Limit Of Blood-Alcohol
A Windsor woman has been arrested for allegedly having four-times the legal limit of blood alcohol in her system and causing a crash.
Police were called Sunday just before 11pm for a crash at Wyandotte St East and St. Rose Ave.
Two vehicles were stopped at a red light, when a third vehicle approached and rear-ended them.
Despite significant front-end damage, the suspect vehicle left and stopped in a nearby parking lot.
Officers arrested the driver who was escorted to the hospital. Her blood-alcohol content readings were over four times the legal limit.
The 41-year-old woman is facing charges of exceeding the legal limit of blood-alcohol and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
Only minor injuries were reported in the crash.
