Driver Clocked at Nearly Twice the Speed Limit on EC Row

A 24-year-old Windsor man is facing a charge of stunt driving after police clocked his vehicle going nearly 100 km/hr over the speed limit on the EC Row Expressway.

Windsor police say an officer from the Traffic Enforcement Unit was monitoring speed late Monday afternoon when a white 2013 Audi was clocked at 196 km/hr in the westbound lanes.

The driver had his licence and vehicle seized for seven days, and if convicted, faces a fine ranging from $2,000 to $10,000.
