Drug Raid in Chatham-Kent Largest in Municipality's History

A massive drugs and guns bust in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police raided an apartment on Wednesday and seized more than $2.6-million worth of drugs including cocaine, meth, heroin, GHB, ecstasy, morphine and fentanyl.

A 9mm handgun and ammunition was found along with more than $50,000 in cash.

35-year-old Jonathan Toornstra of Riverview Dr. in Chatham is facing numerous charges of trafficking and weapons-related offences.

He has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing on April 15, 2019.    

The bust is the largest in Chatham-Kent history, which has resulted in an arrest and 18 drug and weapon related offences.
