Leamington Deputy Fire Chief, Mike Ciacelli says the call came in around 4:20am.

"The back of the structure was fully involved, the back porch area," says Ciacelli. "Kingsville fire took care of the suppression end of it and we had our Leamington crews enter into the structure and do a primary and secondary search to make sure that we didn't have anybody inside the house."

The fire prevention officer will be sent out, adds Ciacelli. "Talking to the owner of the property here, there might have been some appliances, maybe a heater, freezer, those kind of things," says Ciacelli. "So we're going to investigate that and take a look at that but it did look like it started on the outside of the 'lean-to' of the house."

No injuries are reported.

County Rd. 31 between Talbot St. W and Mersea Rd. 3. was closed for a couple of hours and has since re-opened.
