EQAO Honours Holy Names High School

Twelve schools in Ontario, including one in Windsor, have been recognized for supporting students with special needs.

Holy Names Catholic High School received the honour from the Education Quality and Accountability Office.

The EQAO highlighted the schools where initiatives helped a growing proportion of students with special education needs to meet the provincial literacy standards.

The 12 schools saw an increase in the percentage of students with special needs meeting the reading or writing component standard of the provincial assessments from 2014 to 2017.
