UPDATE: ERCA Extends Flood Watch

A flood watch has been extended by the Essex Region Conservative Authority.

The watch is for shoreline areas near Lake St. Clair.

ERCA says the watch has been issued because of predicted high winds and high lake levels.

The authority says there is a possibility of flooding, shoreline erosion and damaging waves for the Lake St. Clair shoreline in the eastern limits of Windsor, Tecumseh and Lakeshore.

The Lake Erie shoreline on the north shore of Pelee Island is also affected.

ERCA is also asking the public to take extra caution and avoid shoreline areas during wind and lake wave events.

The watch is in effect until 12pm Sunday April 20.
