Essex County CAO Retiring

County of Essex Chief Adminstrative Officer Brian Gregg is retiring after 33 years with the corporation.

Gregg, the top administrator at the county for the last 19 years, plans to retire in September.

A statement from the county says the search for Gregg's replacement will begin in the "near future" but doesn't offer any further detail.

County Warden Tom Bain praised Gregg as an "integral" part of the organization's "committment and success" and thanked Gregg for his work.

Gregg called it an "honour and privilege" to serve the County of Essex and says the county has evolved considerably over his tenure.
