Essex Receives 14 Letters Of Interest To Rent/Lease Space At Former Harrow High School

The town of Essex has received more than a dozen letters from community groups interested in renting or leasing space in the former Harrow District High School.

The town invited the community to submit the letters in case the town decides to purchase the building.

Town CAO Tracey Pillon-Abbs says as of the deadline on Friday, the town received fourteen submissions.

She says the town is reviewing the responses and is willing to accept more letters if other groups are interested.

The town has until May 23rd to put in an offer to the Greater Essex County District School Board to buy the property.

Harrow High School closed back in June 2016 after 112 years.
