Essex Unveils Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
If you have an electric vehicle, you can now stop in the town of Essex to recharge.
It has unveiled two charging stations at the Essex Centre Sports Complex on Fairview Ave.
The Level 3 station can charge an electric vehicle to 80% in about 30 minutes, which is much quicker than the four-to-six hours needed to fully charge using a Level 2 charging station.

The charging stations were made possible with a grant awarded through the Electric Vehicle Chargers Ontario program.
In 2016, Essex was one of 24 public and private sector partners picked for the stations.
