Expect Some Overnight Snow In Windsor-Essex
Good-bye cold temperatures, hello snow.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement as snow is expected for the back to school commute Monday morning.
Snow is expected over southern Ontario from west to east tonight and then taper off from west to east Monday.
Snowfall totals will average about 10 cm across southern Ontario with higher amounts to the northeast of the Great Lakes. However, the Toronto area is forecast to see lower snowfall amounts of about 5 cm.
It appears that snow will be falling over all areas during the Monday morning commute. Untreated roads are expected to be slippery.
Here's the latest forecast for Windsor-Essex from Environment Canada:
A chance of snow late this afternoon...winds gusting to 60km/h...the daytime high reaching minus 5.
More snow tonight...up to 5cm expected with more gusting winds...temperature rises to zero by morning.
Snow ends in the morning tomorrow with another 2cm...there's a risk of freezing rain as well...the high plus 1.
Tuesday - A mix of sun and cloud with a high of zero.
Wednesday - Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of flurries and a high of plus 4.
Thursday - More clouds with a 60 percent chance of showers...the high reaching plus 3.
