Express Sign Point Guard

The Windsor Express have signed point guard Horace Wormely for the upcoming National Basketball League of Canada season.

Wormley is a 5'7", 165lb native of Pasadena, California, who played college ball at Vanguard University spending time with the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA G League.

Last season he played 44 games for the St. John Riptide, averaging 13.3ppg and was ranked fourth overall in the NBLC with 300 assists.

Vice-President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Bill Jones is looking forward to having Wormely suit up for the Express.

"He's one of the league's quickest guards who also has a lot of veteran leadership qualities we can count on both on the court and in the locker room," says Jones.  "I can't wait for the season to begin."

Wormely is expecting a large contingent of his family from Detroit to make the trip to Windsor to watch him play.

"I am extremely looking forward to coming to Windsor," says Wormely.  "Every time I've played against Windsor it's been a crazy battle."

The Express training camp and NBLC regular season get underway in November.
