Fiers Dealt To Oakland

The Oakland A's are shoring up their starting rotation for the stretch run.

Oakland has acquired right-hander Mike Fiers from the Tigers for two players to be named later or cash considerations.

Fiers is 7-and-6 with a 3.48 ERA this season.

The A's currently hold the second wild card spot in the American League and are still within striking distance of the Astros in the AL West.

Fiers was originally drafted by the Brewers in 2009 and then traded to the Astros in 2015 before signing a one-year deal with Tigers after the 2017 season.
