Financial Boost For The Future Urgent Care Centre In Windsor
A boost for the future acute care hospital in Windsor.
The Aymadiyya Muslim Jama'at Windsor Chapter has donated $15,000 to be earmarked specifically for the Urgent Care Centre.
It held a fundraising walk along the riverfront May 6th last year called the 'Run For Windsor.'
Group Spokesperson Pasha Qureshi says more runs will take place. "We are hoping to do this run for next 10years, while shooting to reach half a million, if not more," says Qureshi.
He adds it's a worthy cause, "When I moved to Windsor and I visited one of the hospitals, it was shocking for me to see the state of the hospital here."
The next run is scheduled for May 12th — Mother's Day weekend.
