Flood Watch Issued as Heavy Rain Crosses Region
A Flood Watch has been issued by the Essex Region Conservation Authority.
Current predictions are forecasting heavy downpours in localized areas that may see anywhere between 25 to 50 mm of rainfall with rainfall
rates up to 25 mm per hour.
Low lying areas could experience some ponding.
These storms can also produce strong winds causing waves, splashing and spray that can cause problems at shoreline areas with additional water.
The storms are tracking east across the region and have the ability to occur suddenly and also change their track.
This watch is in place until Thursday.
The previously issued Shoreline Flood Watch remains in place.
