Flyers Face Elimination in London

The Leamington Flyers will be facing elimination Wednesday night when they meet the Nationals in game four of their GOJHL Western Conference Final in London.

The Flyers finished first in the regular season, but trail the second-seeded Nationals 3-0 in the Championship Series.

Leamington G.M. Justin Soltz says this isn't the first time they've been in a hole.

"All year when we've been facing adversity or had our backs against the wall we've played our best hockey, and against Komoka we were down 3-1 and we responded and we're going to take it one game at a time."

Soltz tells AM800 Sports London is a solid club.

"They've a veteran team and have won three straight champioinships so we've got to play a perfect game to beat them and we'll really rely on what we've done in the series so far and it's been a good series.  We've had a lead in every game."

If the Flyers win it would force a fifth game back in Leamington Thursday night.
