Food For Families Marks Family Day With Donation
A joint venture of Sunlife Financial and Sobeys in Windsor, Food for Families is in its third year.
The money raised by Sunlife advisors and through Sobeys goes to provide food to the needy through the Children's Aid Society of Windsor-Essex.
Sunlife Financial Centre Manager Paul Luepann says it's a great feeling.
"We're very happy we can do it, especially on family day, it's a time we all get together and do this kind of stuff in the sense of being family and we're proud to be part of it," says Luepann.
Children's Aid Society spokesperson Mike Clark says this is a great event.
'Something from the community, something that means people care and that there's companies out here like Sunlife and Sobeys and people that really care about their own," says Clark.
Over the three years the Food for Families event has brought in $45,000. An additional $1,200 was donated just today.
