A bitterly cold northwesterly flow will develop over southern Ontario Thursday. Extreme cold warning criteria of minus 30 is expected to be met in many places Thursday night into Friday and again Friday night into Saturday.
The cold snap will end by Sunday as a southwesterly flow develops.
Tonight: Periods of snow ending this evening then clearing. Local amount 2 cm. Wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming northwest 20 after midnight. Low minus 16.
Thursday: Mainly sunny. Wind northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40. High minus 13. Wind chill minus 25 in the morning.
Thursday Night: A few clouds. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 becoming light after midnight. Low minus 21. Wind chill minus 30.
Friday: A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 15.
Saturday: Sunny. High minus 12.
Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud with 60 percent chance of flurries. High minus 1.
