The Town of LaSalle hopes to have all four lanes on Front Road re-opened next week between Maple Avenue and Delaware Avenue.

The right hand lanes in both directions were shut down in early July due to flooding.

Mayor Marc Bondy says the section hasn't flooded in about two weeks and the town plans to have all lanes up and running next week.

He says town staff has worked the last month to solve the flooding issue on the street.

"We wanted to make sure we weren't going to have any side effects from that and water flood Front Road," says Bondy.  "So now that we've had a good two weeks of that and no severe storms, we think we can handle a storm where it would not flood Front Road and the plan is, I believe next week to go back to two lanes in each direction."

He says residents have been understanding.

"I'm not getting any calls on why don't you re-open it," says Bondy.

There are signs in both directions asking motorists to merge into one lane.

For about two days in early July, the town shut down Front Road completely from Martin Lane to Laurier Drive because of flooding.
