Go Fund Me Page Started for New Year's Day Stabbing Victim
A Go Fund Me page has been set up for a man stabbed in Windsor on New Year's Day.
Mike Anderson has set up the page for his friend Dillon Liberty of Thamesville.
As heard on AM800 news last week, the stabbing occurred just after midnight on January 1st on Ouellette Avenue near Maiden Lane.
Police say a man was stabbed and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Go Fund Me page, Liberty is in stable condition after having his spleen removed, as well as punctures to his diaphragm and lung.
20-year-old Branden McCraney of Windsor faces charges, including aggravated assault and a weapons charge.
The fundraising goal for the Go Fund me page is $10,000.
Currently more than $6500 has been raised.
