Green Giants Kick Off Home Series Tuesday Night
The St. Clair Green Giants are back home Tuesday night.
The Muskegon Clippers are in town for the first of a two-game series in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League.
Giants Head Coach Dave Cooper tells AM800 Sports says historically, his team struggles against Muskeogon.
"They've got some big hitters and they seem to rise to the occasion when they play us so we're looking for a pretty good series."
He says they're trying to bounce back after a rough weekend.
"Tonight, Rey Rodriguez from Florida, he'll be throwing. We lost two in a row Saturday and Sunday up in Adrian against the Michigan Monarchs, so we need to right the ship tonight." Cooper adds, they won't be making any major changes for tonight's game, saying "As far as our order, you know, we're just putting it out there and it's baseball — you play and you do your best and hope the chips fall your way."
The Giants have a 4-2 record and are hoping to break a two game losing streak. First pitch Tuesday is at 7:05pm at Lacasse Park.
On Friday the Green Giants will start a three-game home series against the Grand Lake Mariners.
