Green Giants Lose Tight One To Open Playoffs

The St. Clair Green Giants have opened up the 2018 playoff campaign with a loss.

St. Clair held a 2-1 lead until the top of the 9th inning when the Saginaw Sugar Beets scored a pair of runs.

The Green Giants couldn't get the bats going in the bottom of the inning falling 3-2.

Jacob Moskowitz had a solid outing in front of the home town crowd at Lacasse Park pitching into the 9th while striking out seven.

Game two of the best-of-three series goes Friday night in Saginaw.

Miguel Cienfuegos is scheduled to get the start for the Green Giants.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

If needed, game three will be back in Tecumseh Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
