Green Giants Open Playoffs At Home

The first place St. Clair Green Giants are set to open the 2018 playoffs at home.

Game one of a best-of-three series with the Saginaw Sugar Beets is tonight at Lacasse Park.

This will be the first ever home playoff game for the Green Giants.

"In baseball, you're only as good as your last starter. So we are definitely counting on our pitching staff," says General Manager Chico Labute. "Jacob Moskowitz will be starting game one. He was the top pro prospect for the league this year as far as pitchers. He led the league in ERA with 1.21."

He says they'll be looking to get the bats going early.

"Carter Mossey, he our lead off man. He gets on, things happen. He's had 28 stolen bases. We've got a pretty potent offence once he gets going, moving guys around, we run the bases very well."

 First pitch goes at 7:05pm.

Game two takes place Friday night in Saginaw and if needed, game three will be back in Tecumseh Saturday at 7:05pm.
