Huge Donation For House Of Sophrosyne
The House of Sophrosyne is closer to making its relocation a reality.
The Toldo Foundation handed over an $80,000 donation to the 'Building for Recovery' campaign aimed at raising money to help the House of Sophrosyne renovate the former St. Alexander Elementary School in east Windsor.
The new home will allow the organization to shorten wait times for women battling addiction by adding more beds and improving programming and counselling services.
To date, the 'Building for Recovery' campaign has raised more than $900,000 with a final goal of $3.5-million.
The House of Sophrosyne has been operating in Windsor since 1978.
