Jays Win and Tigers Lose in Tuesday Afternoon Baseball

A cold day in Boston was a good day for the Toronto Blue Jays.

With temperatures hovering around the 4°C mark, Toronto beat the Red Sox 7-5.

Lourdes Gurriel Junior stole home and had an R-B-I single as the Toronto Blue Jays snapped a four-game losing streak.

The game marked the Red Sox home opener and the team unfurled its World Series championship banner from last season before first pitch.

In Detrot, the Cleveland Indians have reclaimed their usual spot atop the A-L Central.

Corey Kluber earned his first win of the season in his third start, and Cleveland hit four homers for an 8-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Cleveland won its fifth in a row, halting Detroit's five-game winning streak.
