Judgement Delayed For Windsor Doctor Charged With Sexual Assault

Judgement delayed for a Windsor family doctor charged with sexual assault.

Dr. Bassam El-Tatari, 45, was on trial on six counts of sexual assault and was scheduled to learn his fate Friday morning.

But the judge in the case was tied up with another court case that was taking longer than anticipated.

This is the second time a judgement has been postponed and neither the crown or defence expressed any criticism.

It was delayed the first time last week because the judge wasn't ready to hand down the decision.

During the trial earlier this year, six women testified the doctor touched them inappropriately or made inappropriate remarks during their physical examination.

The doctor denied the allegations.

Judgement date has now been set for September 17 at 1 p.m.
